River's Story...
My name is River, and I am an adorable little Dalmatian mix! I am 3 months old, and have my first set of puppy shots out of the way. I am working on learning some "manners", but mostly I'm just playing with the other dogs here and having fun! I would LOVE it if you had another dog that I could play with. Please come get me while I am still little and cute - I hear that dogs that "grow out of the cute stage" can have a harder time finding homes. I think I will be cute no matter how old I get though! I will have to get old enough to be spayed before you can permanently adopt me, but if the Rockyspot people approve your application then you can foster-to-adopt me! Come see me and let's play!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

River, a Newcastle Dalmatian/Pointer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dalmatian/Pointer for sale in Newcastle, or seeking a Dalmatian/Pointer puppy from a breeder in Newcastle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newcastle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newcastle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dalmatian/Pointer breeders who help with Dalmatian/Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newcastle paves the way for another one to be saved.
