Murphy is an awesome dog. Even though he is young he seems to be in-tune to people and always willing to do whatever you ask of him. He is very intelligent as well and eager to please which makes him wonderful to be around. On the very first night in his foster home he went into his crate when asked and slept through the entire night without any problems. He has continued to be an affectionate, loving dog that enjoys people of all ages and is great with other pets too.
Here is what his foster family had to say about Murphy:
Murphy is doing awesome he's so eager to please. He is fully house trained and right from the start he had no problem going into the crate. Since those first days however we have been leaving him uncrated, and he is fine at night and when we go out he has the full run of the house, and he hasn't gotten into anything. He is just such a good dog!
He know the basic commands "sit", "stay", and "come". He is great with the kids and he gets along well with other dogs.
The only thing that we are still working on with him is his leash work but he is coming along nicely. Murphy is really a sweet boy and a joy to have around the home. He loves to give kisses and is very affectionate. We feel very lucky that we were chosen as his foster family.
Murphy loves going to the dog park and has made many new friends. I take him to pick up my grandson at school and he gives kisses to everybody. He knows his name, he comes when he's called. He loves his belly rubbed, and he loves to cuddle up with you. When your not paying attention to him he will just go and amuse himself with his toys. He does love squeaky toys and it is very funny to watch him with it.
So all in all Murphy is a good dog. He's good with other dog's and great with kids.
He would make a great pet for any family.
