Sissy's Story...
I ain’t no Sissy! But I ain’t no bully either! I’m even keel ya know, easy going, go with the flow, mild mannered… that type of gal. I’ve had a loving home my whole life, but times are hard…and I lost my home... it happens to even the best of us. I’m a friendly, social and sweet Yellow Labrador who has a plenty of spunk and love for life!!! I am well behaved too, already crate trained, housebroken and good on leash. I’m a total family dog, man there is nothing I love more than being with my family! I can share my home with children of all ages and other dogs too. I’v already got some training, I’m not too hyper but I’m still playful and fun…I mean, I’m in the prime of my life! What more could you ask for! 7 years old-48lbs. My adoption fee is $120 and includes; spay, microchip, reduced cost Training Class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sissy, a Portland Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
