My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oscar is a fun-loving, affectionate and friendly boy. He is very handsome and although he appears to have Mountain Dog in his background at just 38 lbs he is no where near the size of a Bernese. He is believed to be approximately 1.5 - 2 years old and would be great with an outdoorsy family or someone that likes to job/bicycle.

Oscar is friendly with everyone and gets along well with other dogs. He is very puppy-acting in his antics and if he was a child he would be the "class clown". He is a very intelligent dog and with the right training he would make an amazing companion. He learns very quickly, bonds to his people strongly and is a devoted and loving family pet.

He is always cheerful and happy to meet people of all ages. Although a natural watch dog he is never dominant with other dogs. He would be great as a second dog in the home as long as the other dog liked to play and was respectful. He would really enjoy having a big backyard to run around in and play and trips to the dog park to play with other dog friends would be great too. We have not tested Oscar with cats but would likely be fine.

Although very intelligent and easy to train, Oscar would do best with a strong leader and someone that has dog experience. He is medium in stature but is a strong dog and will need a firm, confident and positive reinforcing leader. Oscar would likely do well at Frisbee catching or flyball type activities but otherwise if left in the home for a normal working day he will need a really good walk each day.

Oscar would be fine with respectful children but older children that could enjoy tossing a ball around or playing in the yard would be best. He is friendly with everyone but is very loyal and bonds very strongly to his family.
