Della's Story...
6 months old, Tan, White with Gray tips. Shih Tzu/ Maltese mix. Della the delectable is what we are saying about this 10 pound, 6 month old little girl. She was bought on the black market in South L.A. by a woman who thought she was doing the right thing. Bringing her home to another dog plus young children was way too much work for her. She is now part of Perfect Pet who will find her a wonderful forever home. From her first Mom we have been told, she is house broken, loves kids and other dogs. But, remember Della is a pup and will need some training. It is a fair guess to say she will not get much bigger. She has all of her shots, micro chipped and will be spayed in a few days.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Della, a Los Angeles Shih Tzu/Maltese puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Maltese for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Maltese puppy from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Maltese breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
