Meow! My name is Sumatra
|Breed:||Domestic Shorthair||Color:||Black (All)||Age:||Young|
I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Sumatra was rescued from the streets after fending for himself as best he could. He arrived to Tenth Life with a broken hip, very thin, and a bit shy. A surgery has mended his hip, lots of extra cat food has filled out his thin frame, and he is slowly coming out of his shell. Sumatra finds the most comfort in his best friend Fuzz Aldrin (a fellow Tenth Life cat who lives at his foster home). They spend most of their time cuddled together in a cozy chair or playing around the house.
Once relegated to a life of hip pain, Sumatra is now healed from his surgery and can be seen leaping up to sun on windowsills or darting around the house at top speed.
He gets along very well with other cats, enjoys the company of dogs, and has had limited but positive interaction with children. It takes him a little while to warm up to people but, once he does, he will sit for hours and try to "clean" his human companions with his scratchy tongue. He's such a character and maybe a bit of a clean freak.

Rescue Group Info...
Tenth Life is an animal welfare organization that provides another chance at life to injured and abused stray cats. Our focus is on felines with extreme medical needs or ongoing conditions that make it difficult for typical shelters to afford their care.
Stage one of our mission is getting needy cats off the streets of St. Louis and into caring Foster Homes, where they await their forever homes. Stage two´s goal is to open a shelter building that will house special-needs kitties in a cage-free, no-kill setting until they can be carefully placed in their forever homes.
