Sookie's Story...
Sookie is as adorable as her name. She is a shepherd mix but the vet thought she would be full grown at about 25 pounds. Sookie is still a pup with a birth date of 6/8/11 and she currently weighs 20 pounds. She is a very affectionate little girl, who loves to be held and snuggled. She gets along great with other dogs, cats and loves children and she would make a great family dog. If you pick her up she just puts her head on your shoulder and lays there quietly. Sookie has been fostered in a loving home and she is leash trained and housebroken. Sookie is up to date on her shots, spayed, and microchipped. She seems to be very intelligent and needs a loving indoor home. Contact us quickly if you are interested because this special girl won't last long.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sookie, a McCormick Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in McCormick, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in McCormick.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in McCormick already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a McCormick breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in McCormick paves the way for another one to be saved.
