My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi Everybody, I'm Tucker! Don't you just love my cute freckled face?
I'm a big and cuddly boy at ~115 lbs. The good folks at Happy Dogs Rescue think I'm at least part Leonberger, I certainly have the traits- check them out on the Leonberger Club of America website! My brother Tyler has the classic black mask, I'm just super special I guess!
Like the other giant breeds I'm very gentle and loving but a bonus- I dont' drool, well maybe a little bit at mealtimes and when it's really hot, but don't we all?
I love to be right with my people and I'm already cratetrained and housetrained. I sure enjoy the air conditioning when it gets hot, and I'd love to keep you warm this winter, snuggled up on the couch!
I do get excited for walks and for a good romp in the yard and I get bouncy- I don't try to jump on you though but be ready to handle me.
I do NOT want to live on a farm of any sort. Tyler and I have tried that life but preferred to wander into town to visit the animal control officers. They were really nice! Our owners finally decided to just leave us there but fortunately we had made great friends at the shelter and they worked really hard to find us a safe place to go.
We much prefer to be housedogs and family pets. We love kids and other dogs but cats and other tiny pets aren't really safe.

Tucker is neutered, fully vaccinated (including bordetella and canine influenza), microchipped, dewormed and fecal checked negative, heartworm tested negative, kept on monthly heartworm prevention and given seasonal flea/tick prevention.
His adoption fee is 100 and adoption requirements are listed below.
