Caroline is a 12 pound cutie. She came from a puppy mill, and when she first came into foster care she was afraid of every thing. Caroline had never touched grass before, and had not often been touched by human hands - except when someone threw food at her. She has come so far in the past few months. Caroline adores other dogs and cats. She will seek out affection from her fostermom, but does not like to be held. She will sit quietly behind you on the couch, and even give you a kiss every once in a while. In time this will change, as she learns to trust. Caroline is a very sweet natured girl that does love to play. She has a clown-like personality, and loves to show it off. Caroline will "talk" to you, and will run up to you for your attention, and then will shyly approach to be petted. She will also put her front legs on your legs and ease up to be petted. Caroline is so special. She has come so far after she was treated so cruelly by the breeder that never let her out of a cage month after month. She is housebroken now, and does want approval in all she does - she just doesn't quite trust all the way yet. Her fostermom says "Caroline is an exceptional doggie who needs someone to love her and be patient with her as she learns how to be a real dog". She is young, just barely a year old. She "smiles" and barks a happy hello to her foster family when they come home from work... and she does little jumps in the air and her tail stubby little wags. Caroline will need a fenced yard and would not be good with small children. If you would like to learn more about her, and maybe give her a chance to show her the love she deserves, please contact us. She is a very rare chocolate merle color.
