Here's what the humans have to say about me:
4/10/12 - I'VE BEEN ADOPTED!
Adoption Fee: $350
Fostered in Louisiana
Age: 5 years
Weight: 15 lbs.
1/30/12 - Scarlett has completed heartworm treatment and doing great and her teeth are pearly white now. She is ready to join her forever family
1/2/12 - Scarlett has done great through her heartworm treatment and is nearing the end. She will go into the vet on 1/17/12 to follow-up with another heartworm test. She will have her teeth cleaned at that time and then will be totally ready for her new family.
11/17/11 - Scarlett will be starting heartworm treatment Monday. Say a little prayer and keep her in your thoughts.
11/6/11 - Yes, I'd like a number 3 with a diet coke. I'm sorry, I thought the lady with the camera was taking my lunch order.
I’m an outgoing girl that never meets a stranger and will never pass up time to sit in your lap and get belly rubs. I have a great personality and could be a motivational speaker at the depression convention. I eat well (maybe a little too well since foster mom says I should actually be around 12 lbs. and am on a diet), take medicine nicely, love following you around and being near you. I tend to pull on a leash since I want to take everything in at one time, but foster mom is working with me on that. Since I love to run around in the back yard for play and potty, leash walking will not be a substitute for a secure fenced yard. I am working on my potty training and haven’t had an accident yet, but I have to admit, foster mom brings me out quite frequently.
I came from a home where I was living outside, so I am loving all this attention and inside world. Maybe a little too much since when I’m in my humans lap, I tend to want all the attention and growl and any of the other pets wanting attention. But a verbal reprimand seems to be working well. I do like other dogs, cats, nice children, nice adults, fish, etc. I just like EVERYTHING.
The result of living in the South, outside and not on heartworm prevention is that now I’m heartworm positive. I just got all my shots, bloodwork and medicine for the yeast in my ears. Next on the vet list is spay, dental and heartworm treatment. Even though I cannot leave my foster home until I’ve completed my heartworm treatment, I will be accepting applications now from those great dog owners who want a Texas size yorkie from Louisiana.
Now, about that lunch order.... oh, foster mom says Ill have salad. Ugh!
