L'il Ned's Story...
Lil Ned - I’m a 7 year old male tabby who has a tail that is a little different. It’s short & curls around my rump. My tabby colors are gray/black. I’m current on my immunizations and have been neutered. I’m a friendly, sweet fella but a bit of a “scaredy cat” in new situations. When you sit down I’ll be the first in your lap and I love to cuddle with you at bedtime. I have been with CARE since 2009 and I would really love to find my furever home before crossing the Rainbow Bridge.

Please call CARE @ (804) 288-9797 or apply online and be sure to ask about Kathryn’s sweet foster boy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

L'il Ned, a Richmond American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Richmond, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
