Al's Story...
"Hey there everyone...if you are looking for a great little fellow, who is really very handsome (I think), then we need to get acquainted. My name is Al, and I am a Chihuahua mix guy, who is on the small side, has short hair (so that means that I would be very easy to take care of) and I am in need of a new forever home with you. I love going for walks and I enjoy running around in the exercise yards here at the shelter. When it is quiet at night, we share stories, but mostly we all talk about finding a new forever home, with a yard to play in and a nice soft, snuggly bed to curl up in at night in the house. That would be the most wonderful thing in the world! I would really love to meet you, so please come on by and who knows...we might just become the bestest furever friends in the whole wide world. Like I said earlier, if you are looking for a great little fellow, then please stop by and let's get acquainted. Love, Al". I'm in kennel # 53.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Al, a El Cajon Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
