My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Alex is a real sweetheart of a pup. He came to us very scared and unsure of what the world was all about but he has quickly gained confidence in his foster home and is now ready to find his new family. He is an exceptionally lovely boy that would make an ideal family pet. He is loves everyone and is good with other pets and children of all ages. Alex currently weighs 34 lbs and is approximately 8 - 10 months old.

Alex is one of the black dogs you hear about that constantly get over-looked in the kill shelters. He was one of a litter of puppies and he and his sister have grown up in the shelter. He is very used to being handled by strangers and is a dog that appreciates anything he gets in the way of affection or attention. Unfortunately his sister went off to a Labrador Retriever Rescue as it would have been nice to keep them together but with a loving new home he has soon left the shelter days behind him and is now ready and willing to find his new family.

Alex is not crated during the day but is left inside a puppy pen while his foster dad goes to work for 8 hours. He is currently living in an apartment and remains quiet and patiently waits for his foster dad's return. He is an intelligent pup and is quickly learning his basic commands and how to behave properly in a home. He is a very unassuming pup that thrives on human contact and would be best with someone that was willing to make the commitment to his further training and socialization. he is an intelligent dog and picks up on things very quickly. He takes most things in his stride and is always trying to do whatever is expected of him. He is good with people of all ages and other pets and should continue to learning about new situations so he can become a confident and capable companion.

Alex has a very nice coat and is in perfect health. He would love a home with a backyard and respectful children to play with. He is going to be a wonderful family pet and will give 110 percent back. Very willing to please and asking for expecting nothing in return, this boy is just a darling dog that deserves a home with a committed family where he can be loved and cared for. He is playful and would be an excellent child's companion. He is great with other dogs and fine with cats. He would do well as a second dog in the home as long as the other dog was respectful and enjoyed playing with him. A really sweet pup, Alex deserves all the best life has to offer him.

If you think this amazing pup would be a good addition to your family, please visit our website at http://uglymutts.com and submit an application for consideration.
