Brett's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, declawed, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Brett's Story...
Brett. 4 yo +/- Black British Shorthair. Front paw declaw.
Brett is a wonderful boy. He is super affectionate to people,
tolerates dogs in his environment, and seems to be fine with other
gentle cats. He loves his tummy rubbed. He gets up on the bed and as
soon as you start to pet him, he flops over on his back and sticks
his legs straight out. Brett will follow you around the house like a
dog, he just wants to be wherever his people are. This is a purebred
British Shorthair. He was purchased from a breeder and came to us
when his owner passed away.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brett, a Davis British Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a British Shorthair for sale in Davis, or seeking a British Shorthair cat from a breeder in Davis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Davis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Davis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even British Shorthair breeders who help with British Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Davis paves the way for another one to be saved.
