Candy's Story...
This is Candy. Candy is 1 1/2 years old and sweet. She JUST got to the shelter and is timid and scared right now. Her owner had to give her up because they were very ill. I cannot imagine how scared and confused Candy must be right now. Being thrown into a strange place, especially with all the dogs barking. I hope we can adopt her out quickly so she does not have to spend much time at the shelter. Perhaps no small children since she is on the shy side. She is about 20 lbs and black and has one blue eye and one brown eye. More pics and video to come

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Candy, a Marseilles Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Marseilles, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Marseilles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marseilles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marseilles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marseilles paves the way for another one to be saved.
