Eagle's Story...
Eagle is a survivor, rescued as a stray in Chestermere. Despite having spent time of the streets, she is friendly and well socialized, so probably had a home of her own at one time. Eagle is a young adult with a sweet, calm and easy going nature. She is undemanding, but loves attention from people. She loves to play with water, and entertains herself by watching all the comings and goings in the cat adoption room. This lovely girl has an independent nature, but gets along well with other cats and with people. She would make a great addition to any home.

To meet Eagle, please visit her at our cat adoptions room at Bowdog, which is open from 2.00 - 4.00pm every Sunday, or call (403) 671-8665 for an appointment.
Please visit http://www.poundrescue.com/adoptions/adoption-process to find out more about our adoption process and fees, or to fill out an adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Eagle, a Okotoks Domestic Longhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Okotoks, or seeking a Domestic Longhair kitten from a breeder in Okotoks.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Okotoks already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Okotoks breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Okotoks paves the way for another one to be saved.
