My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

They call me the Pekingese Palomino. That’s because my coat is that cool Palomino gold. I’ve got nifty creamy white paws and chest. Oh, and my foster mom tells me that up on top of my head there’s a little spot of white that’s perfect for her thumb to rest on and massage. I’ve got a bit of the pirate in me as you can see from my ferocious front tooth. I really like my foster family now, although it took a while to warm up. You see, my original forever person got sick and had to go into a nursing home. And the guy who was supposed to take care of me took me instead to a terrible place and told them to put me away. Can you imagine?! So it has been a rough life for a while. What’s my best home? Well, I’m fine with cats and other dogs, although I get a little testy around mealtimes. I walk well on the leash, but I do get tired. And foster mom thinks I might have a problem seeing perfectly out of my right eye. I also have a heart murmur for which I'm taking inexpensive medication for. So a quiet home would be great for me. I don’t need to be in your lap all the time, but I sure do have to know where you are. Just like a Pekingese, says foster mom. I like to be groomed and I take my time eating - and those belly rubs are great, too. Come get me! Love, Bob
