Ashley is a loveable, talkative black Tabby cat. She is about 10 years old. Ashley is an independent cat, and doesn’t mind being left alone. She enjoys attention, when she wants it, and she will let you know she wants to be petted. If she doesn’t want attention, she will give you a look or turn her back to you. She was rescued from Lafayette Animal Control in 2005, and adopted into a home in 2006. She was recently returned to Acadiana Humane Society when her family moved. She is used to being an only child, and would do best in a home with few or no cats. While we don't recommend a home with very young children (babies & toddlers) because Ashley is older and prefers calm and quiet, she does love little girls. Ashley would love to be adopted into a home with a calm, little girl (maybe 5 years old up to teenage years). She wants a little girl that she can look after and love on. In her first foster home, she stayed in their youngest daughter's bedroom and loved to talk to her and rub on her. Ashley loves to keep her hair short, so we try to shave her down once or twice a year. She is really happy after her shave, as that is less grooming she needs to do. She has a reduced adoption fee of only $50.00. To be considered to adopt from us, please fill out and send in our prescreening application.
