Tessa's Story...
PAWS has only a few kennels and when they are full, we ask the owners/finders of dogs needing rescue to please hold them. PAWS would like to pull this dog from the owner as soon as possible, to move forward in finding a Forever Home for the dog. Until we do, this pet's pictures and bio are listed herein in the hopes that a rescue may be interested. Once we have a place for the dog to go, we will pick up the dog, and proceed with vaccinations and spaying/neutering. TESSA: Per Susan, who is helping to find Tessa a home: this little girl is a friend of my dachshund Greta. Tessa is a dachshund mix and she needs a new home. To adopt Tessa, please contact Susan at:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tessa, a Franklin Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Franklin, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Franklin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Franklin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Franklin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Franklin paves the way for another one to be saved.
