Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Moon Pie arrived at a high kill shelter in mid-September with a badly broken rear leg....Assumed to have been hit by a car, this girl was found wandering around a park barely surviving. We can only imagine the pain she endured. Thankfully, a group of kind hearted & generous people chipped in for her surgery which required her rear leg to be amputated . Through it all, Moon Pie maintained her super sweet purrsonality and endeared herself to everyone she meets! Now fully recovered, she is ready to find a loving home to call her own. Her foster family report: "Moonie is SUCH a lapcat. She is happiest when curled up with us and will purr for hours. She has been doing a little exploring and has even started to play with a furry mouse!! It was so adorable and such a relief to see. Of course, then she curled up on my chest while I read and purred and purred."
Moon Pie handles stairs with ease and is faithful to her litter pan. She's slowly adjusting to the other cats (and a large dog) in her foster home. Visit her in Alexandria, VA.
