Precious's Story...
My name is Precious and my birthdate is 5/22/2005. I'm a happy girl these days, since I was rescued from a situation that was certainly not the best. I was extremely skinny, not vaccinated and left outside chained to a dog house that I couldn't even fit in to. Within a few weeks of being at Mackenzie's I was totally up-to-date with everything and was fed some really good food that helped me gain weight. I was 97 lbs. when I was rescued, now I'm about 110 lbs and growing! I look and feel great!
I'm very sweet and love just about everyone and everything, I’m just a little nervous of new situations at first so once I’m introduced in a positive way my fears disappear right away. I'm a young pup yet with lots of play energy, and with this big body of mine I can sometimes be stronger than I realize, so I have a lot to learn yet about basic manners and such. But I truly aim to please and would love to learn new things with you! Everyday Mackenzie's is working with me on basic commands, so I would just love a family that will continue working with me on obedience training. If you have room in your family for precious lil' sweetheart like me, please fill out our online adoption survey right away!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Precious, a Lake Odessa Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Lake Odessa, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in Lake Odessa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lake Odessa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lake Odessa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lake Odessa paves the way for another one to be saved.
