Corky's Story...
Corky is an adorable little 9 month old, 20 lb terrier x who is coming to Calgary from LA on October 18th! He has a beautiful shiny, silky, tricolor coat and is great with dogs of all sizes! He loves playing with toys and is very interested in cats, but has not had enough interaction with them to see how he does long term, he would likely be fine with them as he is such a pleaser! He is good with small children, although he does get excited with high pitch noises, so will sometimes chase very small kids playfully (never any signs of aggression). When being pet, he will roll over on his back in submission and is very responsive to learning commands. Corky loves listening to singing and will always pay attention when he is spoken too. Corky is a wonderful, intelligent and calm dog who will be a loving and devoted family member.
Please note that Little Mutts Rescue adoption fees are generally $400 for adults, $200 for dogs over 8 years old and $450 for puppies. Includes spay / neuter, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchip, and a vet certificate of health (please note that if puppies are born in Calgary, we do not have a vet certificate to provide). If you are interested in adopting, please submit an adoption application at http://www.littlemuttsrescue.org/adopt/index.html

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Corky, a Calgary Jack Russell Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Calgary, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier puppy from a breeder in Calgary.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Calgary already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Calgary breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Calgary paves the way for another one to be saved.
