Meercat "Max"'s Story...
Hi I am Meercat Max. My foster parents rescued me from the mean streets of Dupont Circle and brought me into their warm home. They named me Meercat Max because I sit up a lot on my hind legs. Its easier for me to see and I have incredible balance that allows me to play like that, too. Anyway, in no time at all, I made myself at home, making fast friends with the two older cats in the house with whom Ive been playing with each and every day since. Sometimes they chase me, but Im so quick they cant catch me! Playing is my favorite past time. I especially love scratching posts, feathers and nerf balls! After a hard day of playing though, I also love to cuddle with my foster parents and sleep. Oh, and I forgot to mention earlier that I really like to eat, too! I'm a growing boy, what can I say...? The vet says I am about 4 months old. Thankfully, I also got a clean bill of health. Apparently I am scheduled to visit with the vet again to receive the rest of my vaccines which is ok, because I really don't mind riding in the car or going to a strange place. I'm a pretty flexible little guy. I am very happy at my foster parents, but am looking forward to finding my new, permanent home. I hope to find a home with a young feline brother or sister to play with. In any event, I promise to be a forever companion and friend and to mind my manners! Meet me in Wash. DC

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Meercat "Max", a Arlington Exotic kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Exotic for sale in Arlington, or seeking a Exotic kitten from a breeder in Arlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Arlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Arlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Exotic breeders who help with Exotic rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Arlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
