MONA LISA's Story...
This full-figured little beauty is Mona Lisa, a gorgeous, velvety soft British Shorthair, who came to Milagro after her owner died. Mona Lisa is about 16 years old. We hope to find a one-pet home where Mona Lisa's food intake can be monitored -- no free grazing. Her excess weight could possibly trigger diabetes and put a strain on her joints. The vet says Mona Lisa is in great health otherwise.

Contact Milagro at 888.827.4103 or director@milagropets.org if you'd like to meet our darling Mona Lisa and see if she's a match. Placement fee and home inspection apply.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

MONA LISA, a Phoenix British Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a British Shorthair for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a British Shorthair cat from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even British Shorthair breeders who help with British Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
