My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Samantha: 4yr old female tortie Maine Coon mix
regular adoption fee: see below

I love her ear tufts. That's the first thing I noticed about her.
Outrageous LONG ear tufts. She is so vividly colored and decorated
with spots and patched s and her Harlequin face. Her eyes are a little
green in the yellow and are really set off by the coloring of her
face. She is quite the exotic girl.

Sammi was in a high kill shelter and her time was up .Someone sent me
her photo pleading for me to take her. Sure!!! I said. Another
foster went and got her and kept her for bit til I could come up and
get her. Fostering is often a group effort.

I am so delighted to have her. She is a wonderful lovebug now that
she has settled in. She was a little cranky after her long stay in
the shelter and long ride with me but that disappeared surprisingly
quickly. She has some opinions as she should and never wants to be
treated as a toy but she really is at heart a good natured,
agreeable, nice girl who just happens to look very dramatic.

At first I thought she would rather be an only cat but now I am not
sure. i have only had her a week ( it is 11/13 ) and she has been
adapting and relaxing and I will write an update when I know her
better. She is clearly very intelligent.. Curious playful observant.
But there is that Maine Coon brain in there. She's smart.

Her coat is sleek and soft very full, fairly vividly colored though
her greatest color is on her front legs and face. I will get a body
shot that shows her full tail. She is amazing looking.

She loves attention and is goodnatured so that strangers can hold
her and carry her around. The area under her chin is a especially
favorite spot to pet. She loves windows in the sun and the
annoying.tasty little birds she can see outside.

Sammi eats wet and dry and is litterbox perfect.

Her foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz.
