My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there…are you looking for a sweet, loveable, huggable boy? Look no further, I’m the one and Johnny is my name! I’m about 2-4 yrs old and weigh about 34 lbs. Let me tell you a little about myself. I was out one day roaming the fields when the folks from the Animal control in Missouri found me. They took me in but no one claimed me so Midwest BREW came to the rescue and now I’m with my foster family in northern Illinois. My foster family is really nice and they have two beagle mixes that I chill out with everyday. I get my own cozy bed inside the kennel which I stay in at night and when no one is home.

My typical weekday here starts about 6 – 6:30 am when my foster mom will let me out of the kennel to go outside, then she feeds us. I get to stay out while she eats breakfast; then I go back into the kennel while she gets ready for work. My foster dad wakes up in a couple hours and he takes me out of the kennel because he says I’m a little noisy after foster mom leaves for work. He’ll let us outside again, oh did I mention that I’m put on a tie out and my foster family has Invisible Fence for their beagles. We get to play outside for a while if the weather is good too. I love to play chase with my foster siblings. Foster dad will let us in and I get to hang out with him until he goes to work. He feeds us about 3pm. That’s when I go back into the kennel until foster mom or sister come home from work between 5 – 6pm. They’ll let me outside and then I’m hanging with them until foster mom goes to bed around 10:30pm. When foster dad comes home from work he’ll let us out again about 1am or so.

My weekends are about the same but foster mom and dad don’t have to work so we get to sleep in a little longer and I get to stay out of the kennel unless they leave. Sometimes my foster mom and dad’s 1yr old granddaughter stops by with her mom and I just love her to pieces. She’ll come over to pet me and I give her little kisses. She giggles!

Here are some of my favorite things to do…

love sleeping on foster mom’s chair
chewing on Nylabones
snuggling up with foster dad or mom on their chairs
going outside to play
looking out the window for squirrels
taking walks
Little cheesy treats when I’m good, they’re so yummy!
So what do ya say…am I the boy you’ve been looking for? If so, please apply to adopt me.

XOXO

Johnny
