Gym is a wonderful little, my guess, chi/pug mix. Gym is named "Gym" because he came to school and stayed with the foster mom and her gym classes for several weeks. He is a good natured dog. He has handled 25-30 kids pawing at him in 6 classes a day, and also survived the recess crowd.(Was not "put on the fence" once)! He is scheduled to be neutered the 21st of November since he tried to "get to know" Ms. McKinneys' leg while outside playing, in front of 27 Kindergarten students. He has not learned to come when called, but what K-5 student does. Gym fitness scores were outstanding in the Mile Run and the Push-Ups, however he needs to work on his flex ability and core strength scores. Gym has great upside, he has even wooed the school cooks out of scraps and has won the school principal over with his upbeat attitude.Gym is current on shots and has been in the school building, uninvited, several times near the school nurse. He may even have inadvertently received a flu shot and a lice check. No louse were found. Gym is good with other dogs and makes a good substitute P.E. Teacher in a pinch. He is small and maybe about 1 year old and weighs about 13 lbs.

Rescue Group Info...
We are a rescue, focusing a great deal of our work on training therapy dogs for veterans. All donations go to feeding, housing, veterinary and training costs so that our military members are able to have a therapy dog with no cost to themselves. Our dogs also assist abused and neglected children in testifying in Court, therapy situations and adoptions.
If interested in a dog, please send an email to our rescue. We will then send an application and contract to the adopter. If approved, a time will be scheduled for a home visit and to meet the dog.
