Smokey Joe's Story...
Smokey Joe is a big sweetheart, very social and likes to be where the action is and where people are. Smokey Joe is extremely mellow and nothing seems to scare him or bother him. He also loves to play. If you get out a wand toy, he will dash back and forth after it. It's surprising how fast he is! He gets along well with other cats, but is fairly dominant and he also has had contact with dogs at the farm he came from during a horse neglect rescue. The vet estimated that Smokey Joe is about 5-6 years old, but his foster mom thinks he's about 3. He has the cutest little trill cry and is an all around good guy.
As with all SCRAM cats, we will not allow this cat to be declawed. Please see our home page for more information on adopting. To learn more about this cat or to make an appointment to meet him, please email Carolyn915@msn.com or call Carolyn at 651-486-7522.> Thank you for your interest in S.C.R.A.M. We are a non-profit, 501c3 tax-exempt, all-volunteer organization and survive on donations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Smokey Joe, a Roseville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Roseville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Roseville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Roseville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Roseville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Roseville paves the way for another one to be saved.
