Emmy Jo's Story...
Emmy is not even a year old. She has spent most of her short life in different shelters. She is very energetic and anxious to please; even more so than the average shepherd. She came into Rescue without any training and she has come such a long way. However, she will still need someone to continue obedience with her. She would make an excellent agility or rally competition dog.
She is good with people but might be a little rambunctious with smaller children. She is particular about her doggie friends. This is probably because of the number of dogs she has seen in the shelters and having to defend herself as a puppy. However, once she gets her confidence and understands the other dogs are friendly, she LOVES to play!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Emmy Jo, a Medford German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Medford, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Medford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Medford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Medford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Medford paves the way for another one to be saved.
