Bear's Story...
This is Bear. We call him "Velco Kitty" because as soon as you sit down he'll attach himself to your lap! He's about the sweetest cat you will every meet. He also gets along well with other cats and dogs and would be a super addition to any home. Bear has had some respiratory issues. His head lists to the side from a severe ear infection he had when he was little. He is always a little stuffy and will most likely need medication on/off his entire life. But it is controllable. If you would like to adopt Bear please fill out our online application. DOB - March 27, 2010

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bear, a Reading Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Reading, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Reading.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Reading already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Reading breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Reading paves the way for another one to be saved.
