Cheyenne's Story...
Cheyenne who, along with her sister Lakota, were found as strays...only about 11 months of age now they are now ready for adoption. Cheyenne is great with kids, dogs and cats. She enters any home happy and ready to meet anyone with a tail wag and happy disposition. She is totally housebroken and crate trained, loves to go for rides in the car, and will make a happy loving pet to any home. She loves to go for walks, but still needs some training on walking on a leash. Cheyenne is a high energy dog and would do well in a home where she can get lots of exercise and stimulation. She might do well as an agility dog, or out in the country, where she can run in a nice fenced-in enclosure. She is very smart, learns easily, and wants to learn! Cheyenne would love to have another dog to play with as well and run off some of her extra energy that she has and she loves to run around and play in a fenced-in yard. Cheyenne has a habit of nipping at people's hands or feet, part of the Border Collie trait, but she can be trained to not nip. She also is a jumper and will need her new owners to continue with her training to not jump on people when then enter a room! She is just so excited!!! She is currently being fostered in the northeast (New York) and would love to meet any potential adopter with a fully approved application. If she sounds like a good fit for your family, please contact us.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cheyenne, a Williston Border Collie/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Golden Retriever for sale in Williston, or seeking a Border Collie/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Williston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Williston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Williston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Williston paves the way for another one to be saved.
