Pongo's Story...
My name is Pongo, and I am very new here. I came to rescue as part of a group of 6 Dalmatians from a mill breeder. As you can see I am very handsome; I am very shy and scared though. As of right now (November 2011) I and my friends are going to need a lot of attention and socialization before we are ready for adoption. Rockyspot wants people to know that we are out there though - please ask them any time about me or any of my friends, and how we are doing!

UPDATE Feb 2012 - Pongo is now in a wonderful foster home and learning how to trust people! Hooray! Please contact Rockyspot Rescue for any further information or questions on Pongo.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pongo, a Newcastle Dalmatian dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dalmatian for sale in Newcastle, or seeking a Dalmatian dog from a breeder in Newcastle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newcastle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newcastle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dalmatian breeders who help with Dalmatian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newcastle paves the way for another one to be saved.
