My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi People,
My name is Tucker and I’m a darling bichon mix of one who is a somewhat shy, gentle and adorable little guy. (That’s according to my foster family ‘cause I’m not one to brag!) I’m great with other dogs and outstanding with children. (And if there are kids in the house or on the street, why I love to greet them and make them feel welcome. In fact, Mom says when I see children I get so excited I can hardly contain myself. I think she means that I really, really like the energy and fun of being with kids – and that I’m always gentle and kind to them.). (I’m that way with most big people, too!)

My Auntie Pat says that I am a great walker (I hold my head and tail high and so that my tail flies like a flag) and a great rider (in the car, that is!) She says I never try to push my way into the driver seat, either!

I’m also a very playful boy and a very good sport. While I enjoy the company of my doggy foster brother and sisters at home, I’m also just about the most amazing guy you could ever take to the dog park. When I’m there I run like the wind and love to be chased! I also like to greet other dogs at the park. If they want to play, that’s great. If not, I just play independently. Can you tell that I just L-O-V-E the dog park (about as much as I love kids!)

Another thing Mom wants you to know about me is that I’m a morning person – I mean dog! When Mom opens the blinds in the morning I sit on the sofa and just watch what’s going on in the neighborhood. I’m not a barker, though. Mom says I’m just an ‘observer of life!’

I’m housebroken (love the new doggy door – thanks Mom!) and know some commands. I’m crate trained but Mom says I’m versatile ‘cause I can sleep on a doggy bed on the floor or on the Big Bed with the other bichons. (Lucky for us there’s lots of room and I’m a very good boy!)

My favorite things to do include playing with my stuffed toys and, more importantly, with a doggie about my same size. I can wrestle and race and play all day long (but I’m very quiet and gentle when I do. There’s no barking or growling from me!) Mom says sometimes I play in absolute silence – and that’s something she has never seen before!)

My wish for Christmas is a home with an active family and another dog or two. And if my family could take me on lots of walks and to the dog park, I would think I was in heaven. If I sound like the kind of furkid you are looking for, please complete our application – and ask for me!

Your new best friend,
Tremendously Terrific (but a little shy) Tucker
