Chunk's Story...
Hello, I'm Chunk. I will be pleased to meet you but don’t expect that soliciting, slobbering behavior that some of my fellow canines indulge in.  I am an independent thinker. I prefer to lead rather than follow.  Like my mind, my body is my own so I will not be tolerant of youngsters trying to grab me or pick me up.  I am clean, quiet and the perfect size.  I am small enough to fit in a lap but big enough to enjoy things like jogging or hiking.  I don’t mind cats or other dogs and I quiet, crate trained and more than ready to have a place that I can call my own. 3 years old-20lbs. My adoption fee is $200 and includes; current shots, neuter rebate, microchip, 5 week training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam (in the SE Portland/Milwaukie area ), leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chunk, a Portland Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
