Keeper's Story...
Need a loving companion in your life? Keeper was originally rescued from the shelter in 2006 and found the perfect home. Then Keeper’s human passed away and life was turned upside down.
Keeper is a Flat Coat Retriever mix hence the “black” dog on a “gold” dog website. (http://www.akc.org/breeds/flat_coated_retriever/) She is friendly, loving and would prefer to sit between your legs and get petted. She will be by your side through thick and thin. Keeper enjoys swimming and an occasional game of chase the ball. Keeper is very attentive to people and would do well with learning new tricks. She can be protective of new toys with other dogs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Keeper, a Scottsdale Flat-Coated Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Flat-Coated Retriever for sale in Scottsdale, or seeking a Flat-Coated Retriever dog from a breeder in Scottsdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Scottsdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Scottsdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Flat-Coated Retriever breeders who help with Flat-Coated Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Scottsdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
