Koda's Story...
Meet Koda! At just a few years old, this is one adorable and affectionate little dog. A mix of Beagle and Pug, Koda is charming her way into everyone’s hearts at ARF – especially her foster mom. She is easily one of the most personable and unique dogs to come through the shelter in a long time. And, while we’re thrilled to have her, this girl needs a forever home to call her own. Not too long ago, the future wasn’t looking too bright for Miss Koda. But that has all changed now. She has a second chance at life and intends to make the most of it!

Koda loves everyone that she meets, including most other dogs. So, she would probably be willing to share her new home with a canine brother or sister. And she gets so excited about going for walks that she can barely wait to get leashed up. But we understand that it’s hard to keep all of that energy contained. She just loves life so much! Koda will make a great companion – as she’s always game for a walk, ride in the car, playtime in the yard, or cuddling on the couch. What more can you ask for?

If you’re looking for a little dog with a big personality and an even bigger heart, consider giving Koda her forever home. You can contact her adoption consultant, Lynn, at 216-780-7043 or Puz777@yahoo.com for more information. Koda is hanging out in a foster home, so Lynn will set up a visit!

** The adoption fee helps to cover the general veterinarian check-up, heartworm test, spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, rabies vaccination, worming, flea preventative, and microchip that all dogs adopted through Berea ARF receive prior to going into their new home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Koda, a Berea Pug/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug/Beagle for sale in Berea, or seeking a Pug/Beagle dog from a breeder in Berea.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berea already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berea breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug/Beagle breeders who help with Pug/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berea paves the way for another one to be saved.
