Elvira-tiny lap cat's Story...
Elvira can be seen by request at Purr-Suasions in Old Town Scottsdale. 480-694-9998
Elvira had to have a name and seemed a bit unusual ... like the Mistress of the Dark ... but she is a grey tuxedo with white undercoat (the undercoat is striped) ... very thick coat.
She arrived at SOS Kitty with kittens about 3 weeks old and a bit bedraggled. She is tiny (was under 7#). She loves attention and laying in your lap. She is very friendly, but fiercely protected her kittens. (Declan was one.) She believes a good defense starts with a strong offense relative to the other rescued cats. She runs to protect any cat that calls out!
Her kittens are raised (along with an orphan) and she is ready to have her own home without so many other cats. We think she is about 2 years old and she is smaller than her kittens.
The first time she went to our vet for distemper shots, his first words were, "What a pretty cat!"
Does she sound like a cat YOU could love?
SOS Kitty's policy for adult cat adoptions is 100% refund on return after one month if your home and our cat don't seem a good fit.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Elvira-tiny lap cat, a Scottsdale Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Scottsdale, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Scottsdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Scottsdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Scottsdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Scottsdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
