Kodi's Story...
Meet Kodi!

Kodi is a 7 to 9 year old Lab/Golden mix. He was taken out of Matsu animal control and he weighted 110lbs when I got him. Kodi now weighs 92lbs after 2 months is dieting. His ideal weight is around 75lbs. Kodi is eating R/D diet food and he gets along with all size dogs and cats. He is housebroken and is happy to hang out with his stuffed animals and chew toys. Kodi would do best in a home that has another dog, as he doesn't like to be alone. He will need to stay on his diet plan so he can live a pain free life, he is also a rock dog, he will dig up rocks and carry them around or try to push big rocks around the yard.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kodi, a Wasilla Retriever (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Retriever (Unknown Type) for sale in Wasilla, or seeking a Retriever (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Wasilla.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wasilla already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wasilla breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Retriever (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Retriever (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wasilla paves the way for another one to be saved.
