Captain's owners drove him out to a back-country road in Arkansas, dumped him out of their car and drove away. Like a good boy, Captain waited patiently for his family to come back and get him, right at the same spot where they let him out. Days passed, and of course his owners never came back. Thankfully a kind person had been keeping an eye on him and finally brought him to the safety of a shelter, where he is remaining calm with the faith that someone will adopt him soon. (We sure hope he's right.) Captain is a healthy purebred Corgi whom we think is about 2 years old. He gets along very well with all the other dogs at the shelter, large, small, young, old, and he's happy to socialize among them in the nicest way. He has also been great with all the volunteers at the shelter, friendly and attentive to everyone. He needs a family that gives him everything his last family didn't - - mostly, love. Captain is keeping his kennel immaculate which makes us think he must be housetrained. If you can offer Captain his ticket to paradise, please visit www.pinkshelter.com for more information about the adoption process or click
