China's Story...
China is a delightful, gentle, healthy and sweet Retriever mix dog with a little Chow (some black spots on her tongue). China was in a home where she was bred 4 TIMES. Former owners then dropped China off at city pound, citing "landlord problems." One can surmise a landlord might compain if one is turning their apartment into a puppy mill! According to former owners, China "loves children, men and women." She also is friendly around other dogs (obviously) and appears to be mellow around cats. China is totally housebroken, gives paw on command and loves walks and going for rides in a car. She is a truly lovely dog in every sense of the word. Can you offer this 5-year-old "Mama" dog a loving and responsible home? If so, please call us at (212) 427-8273. China is a total love!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

China, a New York Labrador Retriever/Flat-Coated Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Flat-Coated Retriever for sale in New York, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Flat-Coated Retriever dog from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Flat-Coated Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Flat-Coated Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
