Holly's Story...
Holly first came to the Catnip Cottage when she was just a small kitten. She grew up socializing with the other cats, dogs and small children, and then was adopted out on Christmas Eve, 2009 at 5 months old Unfortunately, her adoptive family's health problems caused Holly to have to come back to the Catnip Cottage to search for another purr-manent home. Holly is a delightful and lovely lady that is very friendly and affectionate. After a bit of time to adjust to her new home and companions, she should fit in wonderfully in any home and will truly bring holly joy to you!

About Our Rescue Group...

We are an all-foster home, no-kill, cageless, no time limit feline sanctuary. We rescue high-risk cats the shelters and veterinarians will not otherwise offer for adoption. We focus on "special needs" and mature animals, although not ALL of our adoptable cats are mature or have a special need. We take these pets into our homes, socialize them with our own families and provide for all their needs until they are adopted. We stand behind our adopted pets for their entire lives. Some of our sanctuary pets are socialized, vetted and trained to provide pet therapy services to area rehabilitation and assisted living facilities.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Holly, a Summerville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Summerville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Summerville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Summerville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Summerville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Summerville paves the way for another one to be saved.
