Cassie's Story...
Cassie is a luscious, 6-month-old, beauoooootiful kitten who has a heart of gold (to match her eyes!). This little lady loves to play, is super affectionate and has a purr that will soothe your soul! Being that Cassie is a black kitten, it will be harder to find her a forever home. Did you know that black cats are overlooked by the majority of potential adopters just because of their color? If you are looking to add a feline to your family, please, please give us a call to meet Cassie - she will win your heart within the first few moments you meet her. Cassie is truly a doll!

Cassie needs to be placed in a forever home with another kitten or young cat who loves to play!! If you'd like to learn more or meet Cassie in purr-son please contact Cindy at 773.203.0215 or cindy@virtuallyhomechicago.org. She's waiting for your call!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cassie, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
