Calypso's Story...
Meet Ursula! Ursula is a long-haired, stellar, dark tortie...and we mean stellar! These pictures don't do her justice - in person, you will be speechless at how gorgeous she is! Ursula came to Virtually Home from a local kill-shelter. She was given an extra week to live because she was so incredibly sweet - the people who worked at the shelter were bound and determined to get her a home or find a rescue group to take her. Well, lucky us that Ursula is now in our care - and she truly is the sweetest! We are grateful we were able to save her life! If you are looking to add an easy-going, lap kitty to your family, please meet Ursula!

If you'd like to learn more or meet Calypso please contact Cindy at 773.203.0215 or cindy@virtuallyhomechicago.org. She's waiting for your call!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Calypso, a Chicago Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
