My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lexi's adoption fee is $300.

Lexi is a 12 lb, 4 year old, Yorkie cross who has been spayed, micro chipped and her shots are up to date. Lexi is house trained and is fine to be left alone when you leave the house. Lexi will bark if she hears a noise outside, or if someone comes to the door. Lexi has possession issues with chew sticks, but we have been working on this and she is getting much better. The only time it continues to be an issue, is when she has a chew stick and she is in a confined area (ie, cage, under a bed). Otherwise she will walk around the house with a toy or chew stick in her mouth, happy to show it and share it with anyone.

She shares her food with the four dogs she is currently living with, and is happy to do so. Lexi also has a fear of strangers. When people first come into your home, she needs to be ignored by the “stranger” no direct eye contact, no physical or verbal contact. Within a half an hour or so, Lexi will approach the new person, with a few little kisses and a swat of her paw. Once you are Lexi’s friend, you are friends for life. Lexi is good in the car. Her favourite spot in the house is where you are and preferably on your lap so you can rub her belly. Lexi would be best in a home with no children and with someone who can continue to work on her issues.
