Ernie's Info...

I am already neutered, purebred, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Ernie's Story...
Ernie is a brother and best friend to Bert. He is quite dependant on Bert however. He is very shy, yet so loving. He is an awesome dog, just like Bert. While walking on leashes, they both just stay right beside you and right beside each other. They don't tug and pull. Ernie has the same story as Bert, sad as it is. Ernie is also already neutered, up to date on shots, and heart worm tested, so he also is ready to take home today. Again, if you have a large area for these big boys, please contact Melodie at 217-822-3980 or Linda at 217-466-1062 and please leave a message with your name and phone number so we can return your call as soon as we get it.

Act quickly to adopt Ernie. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ernie, a Paris Bernese Mountain Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bernese Mountain Dog for sale in Paris, or seeking a Bernese Mountain Dog dog from a breeder in Paris.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Paris already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Paris breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bernese Mountain Dog breeders who help with Bernese Mountain Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Paris paves the way for another one to be saved.
