Jerry's Story...
Jerry and his brother, Ben, are Irish Setter/Labrador Retreiver mixes. They were born about 12/30/10, they are up to date on shots, neutered. These two brothers were tied up together and then thrown out in a neighborhood. They get along well with other dogs and children. Jerry is more clam and laid back than his brother. He would do well with a family that is not super active. Can you show one or both of these guys what it is like to have a family to love them?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jerry, a Baton Rouge Irish Setter/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Irish Setter/Labrador Retriever for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Irish Setter/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Irish Setter/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Irish Setter/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
