Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rye is a stunning 16.0H (est) 2003 Chestnut Thoroughbred Gelding, registered with The Jockey Club as "Hot Little Number". Rye came to AAE with his buddy Kinji in 2010. He is an ex-racehorse that was re-trained into a very nice riding horse. He's jumped and done trails. He is a very sweet boy with a heart of gold, and he likes to please on the ground as well as under saddle. Under saddle, Rye has a very soft mouth, and he is responsive to all of the rider's cues. He is suitable for novice or higher level rider in the arena, but he has not been evaluated on trail yet. Rye is comfortable in an english or western saddle, and goes very nicely in a smooth snaffle bit. He can live in pasture or a stall, and requires shoes at least on his front feet. His former owner indicted he does experience separation anxiety when taken away from the barn or his pasture mate(s), but typically resolves within 20-30 minutes.
