Clara is a 4-year-old spayed female Siberian Husky whose previous owner became seriously ill and couldn't keep her. Prior to coming into our rescue, Clara was kept in a small kennel run behind a barn and used for breeding puppies! We are happy she is now going to have a chance to become someone's pet! Clara was very shy and fearful when she came into our rescue but, with the help of our volunteers, Clara is coming around. She is currently in a foster home with some wonderful people who have been working with her. The most recent information from her foster Mom is as follows:
Clara is housetrained now but she is still a little timid in the house. She is fine once she is in, but it takes a while to coax her to come in. She is afraid of storms. Clara still needs some work on manners, but she is much better behaved with other dogs. She just had to learn what was acceptable and what wasn't. Clara will need someone who can work with her to earn trust. She is fine with us and our "dog siiter" but is still timid with people she doesn't know. Clara might do best as an only dog.
If you are interested in adopting, please fill out and submit our
