Buddy's Story...
Please contact Kathy (kathy@iguanaresource.org) for more information about this pet.

11/25/2011 Buddy is a stunted 8 year old male. He was kept in way too small of a cage and should be three times the size he is. Some of the top spikes are funny looking, maybe from a past thermal burn.

Buddy is active and curious. He has started breeding season and is getting restless. He puts up a fight when you first pick him up, but he will settle down after awhile.

He will use his litter box most of the time, or poop on the floor of his cage.

About Our Rescue Group...
Our primary mission is to educate the public on the proper care and husbandry of the captive green iguana. We foster surrendered iguanas while we try to find a permanent home. Iguanas are not easy to care for due to their highly specialized care requirements. We have a rigorous screening process to weed out the people who are only interested in the "cool" factor, or unable/unwilling to commit to the necessary care of a green iguana.
Come Meet Our Pets...
Most of the iguanas are fostered by me, Kathy, the President. Visits are by appointment only.
Our Adoption Process...
First we review you knowledge base of iguana husbandry. We make suggestions or corrections. We require that the enclosure is in move-in condition. A vet familiar with iguanas is required. We can make recommendations. A home visit is performed, or if out of the area, detailed photos are accepted. Our adoption fee is $75 or a spayed female is $100. An adopter has to be over 18 years old and a contract is signed.
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
Primarily the Metro Twin City area of St.Paul/Minneapolis. We might be able to ship via Delta Dash depending on the availability of volunteers to arrange for shipping. Typically, shipping is $100 and about $30 for the crate.
