Rue's Story...
Meet Rue!

Rue is an amazing 6 month old husky mix that we have had for about a month now. She has been introduced to cats, kids (both young and old), birds, dogs, and has been wonderful with all of them. Rue is also kennel trained, house-broken, and has come a long way with her manners since her first day in foster care. She has a fun temperament and is really quiet. We've only heard her bark once and that was only when she was trying to get the cat to play with her. Rue loves chewing on her toys and is very content to lay on her bed with her bone. She also loves to run and play with our other dog. We're confident she will make someone a wonderful companion. Rue plays when it's play time and chills when it's time for some R&R.

If you have any questions, or would like to schedule a time to meet Rue, call Heather or Hunter at 232-0775.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rue, a Wasilla Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky for sale in Wasilla, or seeking a Husky dog from a breeder in Wasilla.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wasilla already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wasilla breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky breeders who help with Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wasilla paves the way for another one to be saved.
